Our commitment to sustainability

It is vital to consider sustainability in motorsports. Motorsport is increasingly affected by climate change, with more frequent disruptions and delays. A clear example of climate-related disruption: the 2023 Imola Grand Prix was cancelled due to severe flooding in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. Extreme heat is also becoming a serious safety concern for drivers, teams, and spectators at races around the world.

At the Cadillac Formula 1 Team, we’re fostering an environmentally conscious culture and strategy that enables every team member to contribute. Together, we’re working towards innovative solutions that will keep us racing sustainably for years to come.

One of our key milestones on the road to entering Formula One in 2026 is achieving the FIA 3-Star Environmental Accreditation. While this is a regulatory requirement to compete, it also marks the beginning of our long-term sustainability journey. The FIA 3-Star Accreditation is the highest environmental standard in motorsport — and it aligns perfectly with our drive for excellence and innovation.

These preparations are helping us establish a comprehensive environmental management system that will strengthen our commitment to sustainability.
